Sometimes you may be constrained for space, but some people pull space from another room to make a bathroom bigger for a walk-in shower or to make a laundry room less cramped.  It might even be time to join a bathroom to a master bedroom for an ensuite.

Flooring can make your rooms flow together or provide definition in combination with layout and wall styles.  Weigh options between durability, coziness, and utility.

A remodel is the perfect time to look at overhead lighting & conveniences. 

The location of switches may be improved; it is an ideal time to implement smart switches, trigger lighting with motion, or add built-in USB chargers in key locations.  

One of the longer lead times to consider in remodel projects is cabinets and sometimes vanities.  Usually the project schedule will need build with this in mind.    Three items to consider when selecting cabinets are door style, color, and cabinet box construction.
